I believe that if we step out into our communities and approach this with the idea that “it takes a whole village,” that we can start to see a change. I believe that we should not think about financial assistance first, that will come; we need to bring our communities back and we need to get our children back! We absolutely must correct this issue with our youth. We will be able to apply for grants and other assistance, but I believe that we must first WANT to create a change in our communities. Concentration will be on: Children from broken homes Violence and Drugs Video games and Music Single Mothers and Responsibility Juvenile delinquency Not attending school nor working
For this group, MOMA, the desired effort to start to put a dent in this national problem is for us to start moving our men to become rigid, permanent, loving, spiritually talented, and focused avenues of strength for the youth and their problems; to raise the alarm and work harder to protect this generation before it is too late.
Sincerely, Lula Grice-LaGrange Making Our Men Act (FACEBOOK)
We believe we have a problem with our youth because we as a community are not doing anything toward breaking this trend. A search of the Internet for programs for youth problems produced thousands of such programs. There have been several national symposiums and conferences that addressed these social ills; however, recommendations from these events have not had an impact on society, and the youth are still in desperate need of proper guidance and direction.
We continue to have problems, murder, drugs, and disrespect. The youth are still in desperate need of proper guidance.
